Der Berliner Arzneimittelhändler Pedanios setzt auf die steigende Nachfrage nach Cannabisblüten für medizinische Zwecke. „Die Hanfblüten bieten große Einsatzmöglichkeiten in der Medizin: Neben Tetrahydro-Cannabinol (THC) und Cannabidiol (CBD) enthält Cannabis je nach Sorte über achtzig andere Cannabinoide und eine Vielzahl anderer natürlicher Stoffe. Aber erst in Kombination entfalten sie eine jeweils eigene medizinische Wirkung, die für verschiedene Krankheiten und Patienten individuell einsetzbar sind“, erklärt Dr. Florian Holzapfel, Geschäftsführer der Pedanios GmbH. Der Berliner Arzneimittelhändler hat sich auf den Vertrieb von Medizinalhanf spezialisiert. Heilmittel mit langer Tradition Cannabis als Heilmittel hat eine lange Tradition: schon in der indischen, chinesischen und ayurvedischen Medizin, vor mehr als 5000 Jahren, vertrauten die Menschen auf die heilende Wirkung der Hanfpflanze. Und auch in der westlichen Medizin wurde Cannabis bis ins 20. Jahrhundert hinein angewandt, verlor dann aber an Bedeutung. Heute wird Cannabis wieder mehr als eine wichtige Arznei wahrgenommen, die unter anderem Schmerzen und Depressionen lindert, den Appetit anregt oder den Schlaf fördert. Die Wirkstoffe von medizinischen Hanfprodukten unterdrücken Brechreiz bei Chemotherapien, erweitern die Bronchien und hemmen Entzündungen. Auch zur Therapie von posttraumatischen Belastungsstörungen wird Cannabis mittlerweile erfolgreich eingesetzt. „Wissenschaftler auf der ganzen Welt haben das Potential der Cannabispflanze längst erkannt. In zahlreichen internationalen Studien untersuchen Forscher, welche Auswirkungen die einzelnen Wirkstoffe der Cannabispflanze auf die Behandlung verschiedener Krankheitsbilder haben“, informiert Patrick Hoffmann, Gründer der Pedanios GmbH. Die Mischung macht’s: für die ganze Kraft der Natur Für eine gezielte Behandlung können einzelne Wirkstoffe der Cannabispflanze wie THC (Tetrahydro-Cannabinol) oder CBD (Cannabidiol) extrahiert, synthetisiert und aufwendig in den Apotheken aufbereitet werden. Studien zeigen jedoch, dass die Substanzen in Kombination mit anderen Inhaltsstoffen des Cannabis oft besser wirken, als alleine. Die Forschung zu diesem sog. ‚entourage effect’ ist bereits in vollem Gange, und die Erweiterung der therapeutischen Möglichkeiten in der Behandlung sind anerkannt. Im Vergleich mit weiteren medizinischen Cannabisprodukten bieten Cannabisblüten ein breites Einsatzspektrum; die Blüten enthalten neben dem psychoaktiven Tetrahydro-Cannabinol (THC) auch Cannabidiol (CBD), ein Cannabinoid, das unter anderem entzündungshemmend, angstlösend, gegen Übelkeit und zudem erwiesenermaßen entkrampfend wirkt. Neuste Erkenntnisse zeigen darüber hinaus, dass auch weitere Cannabinoide im Zusammenspiel sowie nicht-cannabinoide Bestandteile der Hanfpflanze medizinisch wirken können. Bei der Therapie mit Hanfblüten können, anders als bei aufbereiteten Cannabisprodukten, alle diese Inhaltsstoffe in unterschiedlichen Kombinationen genutzt werden. Dafür müssen Hanfblüten nicht aufbereitet werden, sondern werden für den Verkauf lediglich getrocknet und verpackt. Erst in der Apotheke werden die Blüten potentiell gemäß Rezept verarbeitet und verpackt. Entgegen existierender Vorurteile kann medizinisches Cannabis ohne Tabakkonsum eingenommen werden, beispielsweise verordnen Ärzte die Verabreichung zur oralen Einnahme mit Inhalation über einen sog. Vaporisator (Verdampfer). „Hanfblüten sind ein natürliches und biologisches Heilmittel. Wir vertrauen auf die Kraft der ganzen Blüte. Das ist ein bisschen wie mit der echten Orange und der Vitamintablette: Für die ideale Vitamin C-Zufuhr vertraut man auch lieber dem Naturprodukt“, fasst Dr. Florian Holzapfel zusammen. VSG schwächt die ambulante Versorgung
„Stellen Sie sich vor, Sie gehen zum Arzt und er ist nicht mehr da.“ – So lautet einer der Slogans der Kampagne von Kassenärztlichen Bundesvereinigung (KBV) und Kassenärztlichen Vereinigungen (KVen) zum geplanten Versorgungsstärkungsgesetz (VSG). „Dieses Gesetz ist in seiner jetzigen Form nicht geeignet, die ambulante ärztliche und psychotherapeutische Versorgung zu stärken. Im Gegenteil, es schreckt junge Mediziner vor einer Niederlassung ab. Es schwächt in Wahrheit die Versorgung“, erklärte Dr. Andreas Gassen, Vorstandsvorsitzender der KBV, heute in Berlin. Das VSG setzt falsche Anreize und riskiert den Wegfall von tausenden Praxen von Ärzten und Psychotherapeuten. „Dabei stehen wir vor der Herausforderung, bei steigender Lebenserwartung der Bevölkerung und sinkenden Arztzahlen eine wohnortnahe Versorgung von hoher Qualität zu sichern. Dieses Gesetz hindert uns daran“, sagte Gassen. Der geplante Aufkauf von Praxen in sogenannten „überversorgten“ Gebieten sei ein fatales Signal an junge Ärzte. Zudem versorgten heute die niedergelassenen Kolleginnen und Kollegen in den großen Städten viele Patienten aus dem ländlichen Umland mit. Die Regierung will eine Termingarantie für Facharztbesuche vorschreiben, die mit Servicestellen an den KVen organisiert werden soll. „Den Patienten muss klar sein, dass sie dort nicht den Wunschtermin bei ihrem Wunscharzt erhalten, sondern irgendeinen Termin bei irgendeinem Arzt. Wir sehen hier einen besonderen Schuss von Populismus, der an der Realität völlig vorbeigeht“, führte der KBV-Chef aus. Bei Nichterfüllung der Vier-Wochen-Frist sollen die Patienten in das nächste Krankenhaus geschickt werden. „Dabei sind die Kliniken überhaupt nicht in der Lage, die Art und Qualität von fachärztlicher Grundversorgung zu leisten, wie sie der ambulante Sektor bietet. Das Gesetz streut den Patienten Sand in die Augen“, erklärte KBV-Vorstand Dipl.-Med. Regina Feldmann. „Die Krankenhäuser sind selber völlig überlastet und klagen über Ärztemangel. Mit dem Arzt seines Vertrauens hat eine Notaufnahme ganz sicher nichts zu tun.“ „Wir als KBV appellieren eindringlich an die Politik, uns dabei zu unterstützen, die Niederlassung für den medizinischen Nachwuchs wieder attraktiv werden zu lassen“, so Feldmann. Dazu gehöre auch eine umfassende Reform der Weiterbildung, deren Finanzi erung gleichberechtigt zum stationären Sektor organisiert werden müsse. „Wir haben dafür ein Stiftungsmodell vorgeschlagen, das eine Weiterbildung sowohl im ambulanten wie im stationären Bereich ermöglicht“, erläuterte Feldmann. Die KBV wird daher ihre Aktivitäten fortsetzen, die ambulante Versorgung zukunftsfähig zu machen. „Wir wollen nicht nur kritisieren. Wir ergreifen kreative Maßnahmen, um der Bevölkerung zu zeigen, was dieses Gesetz wirklich bedeutet. Das VSG darf sich nicht als ein trojanisches Pferd herausstellen“, betonten Gassen und Feldmann.
