At the time, it was suggested that if you were an author, you had to have a blog. And so I started my first blog “Parenting Solved” with the selfish intent of selling books. I remember when the blog was just a few months old, Nestlé and Gerber merged and I published a short piece on the future of baby food. I didn’t think much of it but the post was picked up by one of the major financial feeds in Europe and my traffic skyrocketed. Industry professionals called and wanted to talk. I was shocked. Randy Pausch: Randy Pausch Last Lecture: Achieving Your Childhood Dreams
The Last Lecture" ins Auge gefallen.
…When Randy Pausch, a computer science professor at Carnegie Mellon, was asked to give such a lecture, he didn’t have to imagine it as his last, since he had recently been diagnosed with terminal cancer. But the lecture he gave–"Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams"–wasn’t about dying. It was about the importance of overcoming obstacles, of enabling the dreams of others, of seizing every moment (because "time is all you have…and you may find one day that you have less than you think"). It was a summation of everything Randy had come to believe. It was about living.
