Wie man Ebola besiegt – wenn man denn wirklich will
Nun gibt es also auch einen Ebola-Fall in New York. Freunde des Katastrophenfilms wissen: Erst wenn New York betroffen ist, geht es richtig los (mit Dank an @donalbain_de). Gut unterwegs ist allerdings schon die allgemeine Hysterie – allerdings nicht in Westafrika, wo man das nachvollziehen könnte, sondern in Europa und ganz besonders drüben in den USA. Dabei zeigen die bisherigen Erfahrungen mit diesem Ebola-Ausbruch, dass die Krankheit sehr wohl eingedämmt werden kann.
Diese Woche: Tinnitus, der Bewegungsapparat und spät einsetzende Migräneaura
Streifzug durch die aktuellen Veröffentlichungen mit drei Themen: Migräne und Tinnitus, Funktionsstörungen des Bewegungsapparats und spät einsetzende Migräneaura ohne Kopfschmerzen. Ohrgeräusche (»Tinnitus«) zählen zu den Vorboten einer Migräneattacke. Allerdings zeigt eine neue Studie, dass auch das gemeinsame Auftreten auf einer Kopfseite (»Lateralität«) und das zeitliche Zusammenspiel von Migräne und Tinnitus auch darüberhinaus für einen gemeinsamen pathophysiologischen Mechanismus sprechen.
