Praxis-Tool Barrierefreiheit: Kostenfreie Software hilft Ärzten, Hindernisse abzubauen
Es ist schon paradox: Arztpraxen hinken in Sachen Barrierefreiheit hinterher! Dabei liegt es in der Natur der ärztlichen Arbeit, mit Menschen zu arbeiten, die von chronischen und vorübergehenden Einschränkungen betroffen sind. Und gelangen mehr dieser Menschen selbstständig in eine Praxis, eröffnet ihr das einen breiteren Patientenstamm, gerade in der immer älter werdenden Gesellschaft. Darüber hinaus sorgt Barrierefreiheit vermutlich mindestens für zusätzliche positive Mundpropaganda. Dennoch ergab eine Erhebung der Stiftung Gesundheit: Nur rund ein Drittel der Arztpraxen in Deutschland hat überhaupt barrierefreie Vorkehrungen umgesetzt. Dabei kann es sich zum Beispiel um eine Rampe vor der Haustür handeln, die Rollstuhlfahrern, aber auch etwa Müttern mit Kinderwagen, den selbstständigen Zugang zu Gebäuden erst erlaubt.
