MEX/Siding Spring: Wohin gucken?
Ein neuer Beitrag im MEX-Blog, der vom Kontrollteam der Mars-Sonde “Mars Express” am europäischen Weltraumkontrollzentrum ESOC in Darmstadt geführt wird, zu den Vorbereitungen auf die Begegnung mit Komet C/2013 A1 (Siding Spring). Diesmal setzt sich das Team mit der gar nicht trivialen Frage auseinander, wie man die Raumsonde orientieren muss, um das Risiko der Beschädigung durch kometaren Staub zu minimieren.
