Der “Microburst” – eine tückische Falle für landende Flugzeuge
Jeder kennt das Phänomen plötzlich starker Winde unmittelbar vor dem Einsetzen von Starkregen bei einem unwetter. Die Ursache sind Fallwinde, die mit dem Schauer einhergehen. Der Wind wird beim Auftreffen auf den Erdboden radial vom Zentrum der Niederschlagszone abgelenkt. Der englische Begriff für dieses Phänoment ist “Microburst”.
