Warum hat Kaluzas Raum genau vier Dimensionen?
Philipp Hummel schreibt in seinem Spektrum-Onlineartikel Warum hat der Raum genau drei Dimensionen?, dass sich diese Zahl aus dem Zweiten Hauptsatz der Thermodynamik und der Abkühlung des Universums ergibt. Er bezieht sich dabei auf einen Fachartikel des Physikers Julian Gonzalez-Ayala von der Universität Salamanca in Spanien, den dieser in Europhysics Letters veröffentlichte [1]. Hummels Artikel erinnert mich an die Zeit als Einstein sich mit der Kaluza-Klein-Theorie beschäftigte, die eine vierte Raumdimension beinhaltete.
