Steven Spielberg plant Krankenhaus Reality-Show in Jerusalem
Regisseur Steven Spielberg und US-Fernsehproduzent Philip Rosenthal planen eine Reality-TV-Show in einem Krankenhaus in Jerusalem. In einem Interview mit der Jerusalem Post erklärte Rosenthal die Idee:
"Die Idee ist, eine kleine Gruppe von amerikanischen Ärzten an diesen Platz der Welt zu bringen. Shaare Sedek ist eines der meist beschäftigten Krankenhäuser in Jerusalem und es ist auf eine Art faszinierend, dass arabische Ärzte an der Seite von jüdischen Ärzten arbeiten, es ganz verschiedene Patienten gibt und dass man die Religion an der Tür überprüfen muss."
Warum man da jetzt zusätzlich eine Gruppe amerikanischer Ärzte einschleusen muss, weiß ich allerdings auch nicht. Wahrscheinlich aus dramaturgischen Gründen…
An sich finde ich die Idee eines "Mikrokosmos, in dem Menschen anderen Menschen helfen" natürlich spannend: Obwohl ich mit sog. "Doku-Soaps" ehrlich gesagt so meine Probleme habe – habe ich doch selbst einige Zeit hinter den Kulissen einer solchen arbeiten und erfahren dürfen, dass "Doku" oder "Reality" sehr weite Begriffe sind…
Für ein endgültiges Urteil muss ich mich allerdings noch eine Weile gedulden. Die Show soll ab 2011 in den USA anlaufen.

Ubiquitous Computing mit der Apple Watch
Bereits 1999 schrieb Mark Weiser in einem wegweisenden Artikel “The Computer of the 21st Century” über Tablets, das Internet der Dinge und Wearables.
Er prägte den Begriff Ubiquitous Computing – frei übersetzt Rechnerallgegenwart. Er schrieb:
“The most profound technologies are those that disappear.
“Technologien die den größten Einfluss auf uns haben, verschwinden vor unseren Augen.
Sie weben sich vollständig in unser alltägliches Leben ein, bis sie nicht mehr sichtbar sind. “
Nun berichtet Bloomberg, dass Apple arbeitet an einer erweiterten EKG Funktion für die Apple Watch arbeitet. Die Nutzer berühren mit 2 Fingern den Metallrahmen der Uhr und diese zeichnet ein Elektrokardiogramm auf. EKG Funktionen könnten in Zukunft zum Standard bei Wearables gehören. Damit rückt die Vision von Mark Weiser aus dem Jahr 1999 über Ubiqitous Computing ein Stück näher.
