Googles Konzernchef Eric Schmidt bezifferte die Menge an Information, die von Beginn der Zivilisation bis zum Jahr 2003 erzeugt wurde, auf etwa fünf Milliarden Gigabyte und behauptet, dass sieben Jahre später die selbe Menge alle zwei Tage produziert worden sei.
