Stern kritisiert Pharmawerbung
Fast ein halbes Jahr nach Einführung von Bayers Anti-Baby-Pille Qlaira® (gesprochen “Klära”), die von einer vorher nicht gekannten Marketingkampagne begleitet worden ist, hat es die Journailie gemerkt: Wie Frauen mit ‘Natürlichkeit’ gelockt werden titelt der Stern.
Hier im Blog hatte das Thema seine Premiere mit einem ersten Posting am 2. März 2009.
Was in dem Artikel nicht erwähnt wird: Der Verlag G+J, der den Stern herausgibt, verlegt in Österreich die Frauenzeitschrift “Woman”, das Nachrichtenmagazin “News”, und “News Leben”. Dort haben sich die G+J-Medien mit Freude und ohne Scham an der Kampagne beteiligt, obwohl in unserem Nachbarland auch das Arzneimittelgesetz Werbung für verschreibungspflichtige Medikamente untersagt – Schleichwerbung sowieso.
Kritisiert der Artikel lediglich das Qlaira-Marketing im Internet, weil es das eigene Geschäft in der lukrativen Grauzone zwischen Werbung und redaktionellem Inhalt bedroht? G+J soll es nicht so glänzend gehen. Und dass die Pharmaindustrie bei Werbung im Printbereich zurückhaltend ist, musste G+J gerade bitter erfahren. Die geplante Gesundheitsbeilage “Vitaguide” wird wegen des zu geringem Interesses an Anzeigenbuchungen seitens der Pharmaindustrie nicht erscheinen.
Derweil erscheint die nächste Marketing-Welle für die Pille am Horizont: Bayer will Qlaira® für die Therapie von “übermässig starken Regelblutungen” in Europa zulassen. Das könnte viele Zeilen Text in den Frauenzeitschriften bedeuten, um die Leserinnen über das Krankheitsbild “starke Regelblutungen” und die neue Therapiemöglichkeit aufzuklären.
